2008 reissue from the original molds. Full hull model that is 9 inches long with torpedoes, 20mm and 50 caliber guns and 3 crew figures. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. And thank you for the following data from Jim Pearsall IPMS 2209 and Steve Payne IPMS 47035: PT boats were not commissioned individually, but were commissioned in squadrons of 12 to 16 boats. Squadrons generally had all the same type boat. PT-212 was assigned to MTBRON 15, which was commissioned in January 1943 and included PTs 201 through 218 and sent to the Mediterranean with these 78-foot Higgens boats. MTBRON 15 was active in Africa, Sicily, Capri and Italy. The RON was decommissioned in October of 1944. To place this in historical perspective, this period of WW II in the Mediterranean included the invasions of Sicily, Italy, Anzio and the South of France.

Rare 1955-56 'S' issue and even rarer in never started & complete condition. This issue has the Japanese kill markings on the nose which makes it the second release of this kit. Inside, the kit is 100% correct, being molded in gloss olive drab & clear plastic and with the famous Revell Swivel Display Base. Even includes the original factory tissue packing paper.

Original issue 'S' kit from 1956 with the fantastic box art that has made these kits so famous and collectible. The box is in remarkable 'Excellent++' condition with fantastic color and gloss. The only flaws are very light edge wear & shelf wear that is restricted to the side panels. The model features pilot and ejection seat, wing tips in the folded or flight position, full landing gear, detail main gear wells and more. Molded in the correct light gray and clear and includes the famous clear Revell 'Globe' swivel display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Includes a beautifully factory-painted, 1/25 scale resin figure of Mickey Thompson. This is the 2012 reissue of the original 1962 kit. When released in 1962, this car was one of the revolutionary Revell kits that broke new ground in 1/25 level of detail. In Tom Graham's interviews with Jim Keeler, the kit designer, the molds cost $80,000 in 1961 - twice that of a normal car kit. To design the kit, Thompson's mechanics gave the Revell team full run of the vehicle and even disassembled it for them. The model features removable body panels, four super detailed Pontiac V-8 engines with 18 parts each, complete chassis, suspension and drive train detail, water tanks, fuel tanks, parachute holder, cockpit and much more.
