This Mirage caan be built as one of four versions with two air forces: Swiss 'S' fighter or 'RD' Reconnaissance or 'R' French Reconnaissance or 'E' Fighter. Very hard-to-find, first issue from 1961. The hardbox features beautiful John Steel frameable box art titled 'Victory Off Cherbourg', which was the harbor in France very near the Kearsarge's famous duel with the Confederate ship Alabama. This very large 1/96 scale ship measures 34.5 inches long when assembled. Very highly detailed, well molded and features pre-formed ratlines, two position gun ports, guns that turn and elevate, movable propeller, special stand, name plate and 20 action figures. Inside the kit has never been started and is as it left the factory. All small parts are still sealed in the factory bags. Only the hull halves were not sealed and they are present. Complete with two types of rigging material, metal chains, rat lines, USS Kearsarge history booklet, rat line cutting pattern, instructions, rigging diagrams and flag sheet. This kit has the factory painted hull which is in 'near mint' condition.

This hardbox issue is dated 1963 and is from ex-Comet molds; it includes the modified ex-Comet 'teardrop' stand as well. This is a fine early kit with recessed panel lines, clear canopy, very good profile and a display stand for 'in flight' configuration only. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The decal have very light age spots on the backing paper only; the actual transfers have no spots. The box display better than the 'very good' grade, but it is rated as such because there is a factory tape pull tear on the upper long box side.

First issue from 1975 in large 1/72 scale and with fantastic detail. Features over 250 pieces, full hull molded in medium gray & clear, propeller and rudder detail, all deck fittings, crew members and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing one part, a clear window #67. It is simply tiny portholes, so it can be replaced with clear glue. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions. As is very typical with this kit, please NOTE that about 10 stanchions are broken but all parts are present so they can be repaired (or replaced with wire).

1961 'Master Modelers Club' and 'Air Power' hardbox issue sporting the original 'S' kit box artwork. Inside, the airplane is from the original 1950s 'S' molds and even has the original decal artwork for The Flying Dragon. Well molded and features rotating turrets and propellers, pilot, copilot and bomber figures and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Does not include trading cards or stamp. The box looks slightly better than the 'very good' ranking but is rated as suchj because there is a small price tag on the left side panel and a 1.25" x .75" tape tear on the upper long panel.

From late 1966. This is the very rare first issue and ever rarer in never started, 100% complete and in an 'excellent+' box. This kit was issued in late 1966 and is well detailed. It features parts for all three versions, a big block 427 with single or tri-power carb set ups, detailed engine compartment, opening hood, detailed chassis underside with separately molded suspension, shocks, springs, sway bar, drive shaft, differential and exhaust, full interior, decals and more. Molded in gloss white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber narrow whitewall tires (with narrow red lines on the back). The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Decals are flat, intact and in remarkable 'excellent++' condition while the instructions are 'excellent.' NOTE: there is a small tire burn on a sway bar and a burn on a muffler; fortunately, 90% of the burn is on the top (the unseen side) of the muffler.
