Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$26

NOTE: the kit inside is from 1992; the box is from the 1960s issue with fantastic art work. The Bloodhound was an early Mach 2 surface to air missile that defended Great Britain. Once these burned out and fell away, the main ramjet took over and the missile road a radar beam to the illuminated target. This is a detailed and well molded kit for that time and includes one Bloodhound missile, working launcher assembly and transport trailer. NOTE: this kit has some 'excellent' quality subassembly as noted: jeep body shell built; launcher side panels to base; launcher "A" frame built (3 pieces). There is no other assembly. The actual aircraft has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. NOTE: missing display stand and boarding stairs. The Heron was the result of a larger and redesigned Dove and first flew in 1950. It's ability to operate from rough fields and ease of maintenance quickly make it a favorite for feeder and independent airlines in the UK and overseas. Heron IIs were also selected by the RAF for the Queens Flight, which is a statement to it's reliability and safety.
